INDUSTRY CERTIFICATION
The Emergency Medical Responder industry certification is offered during the second year of the program. Emergency Medical Responders provide immediate lifesaving care to critical patients who access the emergency medical services system. EMRs have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS resources to arrive.
Joe Glover | Teacher |
Hi, I am Deputy Chief Joe Glover and I have been teaching at the Pine Forest Fire Academy since 2017. The courses I instruct include Firefighter I, II, III & IV. Before becoming the fire academy instructor, I served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and the Pensacola Fire Department where I retired as the Deputy Fire Chief. My goal is to ensure that I play a role in helping students to develop essential job skills while giving them the knowledge necessary to obtain an Emergency Medical Responder industry certification. I have a bachelors degree in Fire Science and a bachelors degree in Fire Service Administration. I have always been passionate about public service and mentoring the youth in my community. In my spare time I enjoy sports, exercise and traveling to new places.
